I am Carolyn Wong studying Bioengineering final year.
I am determined, disciplined, control, independent and jovial person. Moreover, I like to explore new things just as much as mountain hiking. I am able to adapt to changes quickly too as I love to try unexplored things. I hope to excel in design field of a start-up company since I love drawing, at the same time travel to different places and constantly meet new people through dancing parties and different interactions.
I would be graduating from NUS with a Bachelor Honours degree in Bioengineering in 2009. I hope to pursue a career in design field of engineering firm. Years of studying in engineering department has inculcated me to have logical thinking and analytical ability. Furthermore, I like to draw since I was very young. This has influenced me throughout my studies in NUS. I have been trying to integrate my love for drawing into engineering. I have taken relevant engineering design modules and workshops to polish my skills too. I wish I could to work as a designer in a start-up company as it provides motivational environment and stretch me to fullest potential.
I am good in speaking and writing Mandarin, English and Malay. I speak Hokkien in my family and I understand Cantonese. I also learn 3dmax, Adobe Flash and Solidworks during my free time.
Finally, my life time goal is dedicated to create animations for educational purposes to enlighten and benefit children from third world countries.

Hey Carolyn, I like what you are doing with your life now. You are actively taking up modules that you like and can help you develop your skills as well!
For me, I can only say that my journey in NUS is not as enjoyable as yours...hope that I can find new joy asap.
Btw, I thought that your computer skills like the adobe flash and stuff can be mentioned together with "I have taken relevant engineering design modules and workshops to polish my skills too"
Hope to see your animations real soon!
Hello Carol, I admire your independence and courage to try new creative activities. I guess you should follow your interests and heart in your future directions, especially in the designing field. All the best and I'm sure there's a successful designer in the making.
Hi Carolyn,
I agree with Thomas, my life in NUS is not as interesting and enjoyable as yours.
Wow..Carolyn, You,too, know and understand a lot of different languages. Think they will be very useful in your future work life, especially if you are working in Singapore. (Very relevant languages: English, Mandarin, Malay)
Hey Carolyn, I do share your passion in helping the less priviledged in any countries! Probably we can arrange for some volunteering work next time. By the way, I'm still very interested in your research experiment on silk worms. Haha. =)
You are certainly a lady of many interests and talents, Carolyn! I especially like the way you compare your explorations with mountain climbing!
Thank you for sharing this info with us, and best of luck in your future pursuits.
p.s. You "would be" graduating or "will be"? Hypothetical or real?
Thanks for all the comments. I feel doubtful to follow my passion as I would not graduating from design school. I do not have the credibility and competency as compared to them. Thanks for the support though.
Ya, Hui Ling, to be able to help children in third world country is a great thing. I believe we can join some volunteering work next time.
There's little dye only attached to the silkworms. We tried the magnetic materials to be adhered to silkworms too. The droppings become magnetic. But we weren't sure the silk has magnetic properties.
